Features

Everything to turn AI output into actual progress.

Beautiful markdown viewer
Tables, callouts, code highlighting, sticky table of contents. Built to make 5,000-line AI reports actually readable.
AI that reads your whole project
Semantic search across every note and PDF — “ideas about monetization from April” pulls real matches. Summarize, extract tasks to kanban, explain any selection. Built in, no key, no separate bill.
Built for shipping
Drag-drop project tree, kanban boards, file attachments, instant search with ⌘K. No bloat from another Notion clone.
Share with one link
Public read-only links to a single doc or a whole project. Send a research report to a collaborator — no sign-up needed for them.
Versions out of the box
Every save snapshots automatically. Roll any note back to any moment. No more “did I lose that paragraph?”
Fast and quiet
Keyboard-first, light & dark themes, no cookie banners, no notifications you didn't ask for. Just your work.
How it works

From AI dump to ready-to-ship in three moves.

01
Drop a Claude export or a PDF
Drag a 10,000-line markdown file, a ZIP from Obsidian, or a 200-page PDF. The viewer doesn’t lag, folder structure is preserved, text is indexed.
02
Highlight a paragraph, ask AI “explain this”
Selection-based explainer answers inline. Run “Summarize” on a whole doc, or “Extract tasks” to pull every action item out with WHY/HOW descriptions.
03
Click “Send to board” — start shipping
Pick which tasks to keep, hit one button, get a Trello-style kanban with cards already labeled. Share a read-only link with your team or your future self.
Why not the tool I already have?

Built for AI output, not retrofitted for it.

vs Claude Projects
Claude Projects keep your sources scoped to one conversation. Here every report you ever generated stays searchable across every project, with kanban and PDFs in the same place.
vs Notion
Notion crawls on a 5,000-line AI export and has no semantic search out of the box. The viewer here is built specifically for huge AI-generated docs.
vs Obsidian
Obsidian is local-first and powerful, but no built-in AI actions, no kanban, no one-click public sharing, no PDF AI. All in the box here.
vs Google Docs
No folders, no kanban, no proper markdown — Docs is for prose. This is for shipping projects out of structured AI output.
FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need an OpenAI API key?+

No. AI actions are included — summaries, action item extraction, and recommendations work out of the box.

Is my data private?+

Yes. Your notes live in your workspace and are not shared. When you trigger an AI action, only the relevant text and the prompt are sent to our AI provider for processing — we don't store prompts on our side. Public share links are opt-in and read-only.

Why not just use Claude Projects or ChatGPT Projects?+

Those scope your sources to one conversation, and you can't easily ship from there. Here every report you've ever generated stays searchable across every project, you can drop PDFs alongside markdown, and you turn AI output into kanban tasks in two clicks. Think of it as the place reports go after the model is done writing them.

Can I import from Obsidian, Notion, or a ZIP?+

Yes. Drag-drop a folder via the File System Access API, drop a .zip from Obsidian or a Notion export, or paste plain markdown. Folder structure is preserved.

Is it really free?+

Yes — the product is free right now. Every feature is open: unlimited projects, AI actions, semantic search, PDFs, kanban, share links. No credit card.

What kinds of files can I drop in?+

Markdown (.md), PDFs, text files, images, and any other attachments. Markdown gets a beautiful viewer with tables, callouts, code highlighting, mermaid-ready, and a sticky table of contents.

Is there a desktop app?+

Not yet — OverMyProjects runs in your browser, works on any OS, and is keyboard-first with a ⌘K command palette.
